Wuksachi Bridge – Sequoia National Park
Treeline Construction Inc. was selected by the National Park Service to repair the fire-damaged Wuksachi Bridge at Wuksachi Village in Sequoia National Park. The work is being delivered as a task order under Treeline’s Sierra/Mojave multiple-award contract with NPS.
Project scope includes:
Demolition and Removal: Careful removal of fire-damaged bridge elements while protecting the surrounding park setting.
Glulam Deck Replacement: New glued-laminated timber deck panels and engineered connection hardware, set by crane to restore a durable, code-compliant crossing.
Treated Timber Elements: Installation of pressure-treated log members in keeping with the rustic park character of the area.
Approach Paving: Asphalt restoration at the bridge approaches to tie the new structure back into the roadway.
Working in a remote, high-elevation park on a short construction season means careful planning, solid subcontractor coordination and a lot of self-performed carpentry. These are strengths Treeline has built over nearly two decades of work with NPS in remote Sierra locations.
