Curry Village Rehabilitation and Preservation Projects (2008–Present) - Yosemite National Park

Treeline Construction Inc. has played a central role in the preservation and rehabilitation of historic structures throughout Curry Village for more than 15 years. Working in close collaboration with the National Park Service and Yosemite Hospitality, our team has completed multiple projects that have restored the architectural integrity and visitor experience of this beloved Yosemite landmark.

Early work included the rehabilitation of the Historic Guest Lounge, Registration Building, and Amphitheater (2008–2009), where Treeline performed structural upgrades to the foundations, walls, and roof systems, and restored original doors, windows, and wood finishes. During this project, Treeline collaborated directly with the National Park Service Historic Preservation crew—fabricating a custom milling tool to prepare log bark siding that was later installed by NPS staff.

From 2012 to 2019, Treeline rehabilitated sixteen historic log-sided cabins and the Stoneman Cabin, carefully lifting and leveling structures, installing new foundations, and replacing deteriorated log and siding components while upgrading electrical, plumbing, and finishes.

In 2020–2021, Treeline led the rehabilitation of the Curry Village Food Service Court, Bar, and Deck—selectively dismantling and restoring historic redwood paneling, trim, and framing, while constructing a new bar, dining area, and outdoor deck that blend modern function with historic character.

Most recently, under multiple task orders beginning in 2023, Treeline has continued to perform work across Curry Village, including bath cabin roof and rafter repairs, rehabilitation of the Ice Rink restrooms, and restoration of the historic bus shelters.

These projects reflect Treeline’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship, preservation, and environmental sensitivity—ensuring that Curry Village remains both historically authentic and welcoming for generations to come.
